If you know this man and he harmed you or someone you know,  come forth. It’s ok. The charges are stacking up against this creep and your statement could keep him behind bars FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE. Then your nightmares can stop.

Shreveport, LA – An 84-year-old former counselor has been charged in the molestation of a juvenile — the third time since August.

Robert Minniear has been charged with another count of molesting a juvenile in connection with the inappropriate touching of a 5-year-old in 1981, the Shreveport Police Department said Monday.

Minniear initially was arrested Aug. 24 on suspicion of molesting a child. He was released Aug. 26 after posting a bond for his $200,000 bail.

Police credited news reports of his August arrest for prompting another victim to come forward, prompting his arrest a second time on Sept. 28 on a charge of sexual battery in connection with his alleged touching of a juvenile multiple times from 1994 to 1997.

After his second arrest, Minniear’s bail was raised to $350,000. He remained in custody.

The additional publicity surrounding his second arrest prompted the third victim to step forward, police said.

Minniear remains in custody at the Caddo Correctional Center. His bail now is at $900,000. Authorities have listed his permanent address as in the 3300 block of Terrace Drive.

“We want people to know that it’s OK to come forward,” said Cpl. Angie Willhite, police spokeswoman. “We are here to help.”

The three cases involve unrelated events, police said.

The Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners suspended Minniear’s license Aug. 25.
