So listen. I thought that one of the perks of being a shady doctor with no integrity is to either write your own prescription and forge a signature, or just get one of your buddies to do it for you. What’s up with this guy? Maybe he had burned all his bridges.
And Dammit how thorough was this officer? He literally compared the contents of the bottle to what’s written on the side. Lol buddy that’s above and beyond the call of duty.
Gulf Breeze, FL — A 38-year-old Gulf Breeze physician was arrested for possessing a controlled substance without a prescription.
Dr. Michael E. Tavernaris faces a felony charge. The arrest stemmed from a traffic stop that happened in January of this year.
According to the police report, a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office (SRCSO) deputy discovered contents inside of a prescription pill bottle for Oxycodone did not match the description of the label. Instead of being oval shaped, the pills were white round tablets.
The pills were sent to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for analysis. Four months later, the FDLE Lab Report identified the tablets as Diazepam.
He was arrested Thursday, October 12th, taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail and given a $5,000 bond.
