Alright y’all

There are some holes in this story.
The concept of a doctor coming to a patient rather than a patient going to a doctor is hardly revolutionary. In 1930, about 40 percent of doctor-patient interactions were through house calls, but by 1980, the rate was down to 1 percent, according to a Clinics in Geriatric Medicine article. “It used to be the norm, and the norm was decency,” Jacobsen says. “[Dr. Brown’s care] is an act of incredible decency that seems so foreign to so many people now because they’re just not used to it.”

From a patient’s perspective, summoning a doctor to your house has plenty of appeal: No waiting rooms, traffic or skipped work. No dragging a sick and tired body out of bed to see a doctor whose prescription is to go back to bed. No feeling like a number.

Patients are looking for “a personalized experience,” Davis says. “They want to feel like they’re with somebody who knows about them, or at least cares about them, and can give them time and really listen to them.”

For doctors, aspects of the practice are attractive too: more satisfying patient interaction and the ability to see how patients live. “There’s nothing like going into the home saying, ‘This is what their environment looks like,” Wergin says. “If there’s food that’s old on the counters, if it’s just in disarray, that tells me … that maybe they’re going to need more help.”

So as in the case with Doctor Ciocon, things work a little differently.

He was finally sentenced to 5 years for a crime that he committed in 2014.

Here’s the back story.

Ciocon and the woman went into the woman’s bedroom, where the woman removed her clothing so Ciocon could examine her and remove the cyst.

During the sentencing hearing Friday, Bailey said the moment when the woman undressed was critical in his decision to sentence Ciocon to prison time.

“There are very few times when a woman will take her clothes off for a man,” he said. “One is a consensual sexual encounter. And the other is for a medical examination. … The violation of trust in her treating physician is remarkable.”

The woman testified that while she was undressed, Ciocon began to perform oral sex on her.

“This was no misunderstanding or miscommunication,” said prosecutor Patyl Oflazian. She said the victim stopped Ciocon immediately, and later recorded a phone call with him that was played for the jury. Ciocon apologized during that call, and while defense lawyer Brian Bieber said it was a sign of remorse, neither the prosecutor nor the judge agreed.

“Saying ‘I’m sorry’ in a phone call that the state presented as evidence in a trial does not qualify as remorse,” Oflazian said.

Bailey was more harsh in his assessment.

“It was remarkably cold and apathetic,” he said. “It was the type of apology you would make if you were five minutes late for a meeting.”

Bieber argued for leniency by calling Ciocon’s offense an isolated incident carried out in an unsophisticated manner for which the doctor had shown remorse.

But Broward Circuit Judge Dennis Bailey decided that Jerry Ciocon, 62, doesn’t need to head off to Florida state prison just yet. Instead, Bailey ruled that Ciocon will be allowed to post a $100,000 bond and remain under house arrest.

The decision appeared to offer some comfort to the dozens of family, friends and patients of the defendant, who packed Bailey’s courtroom in a show of support for the man they insisted did not deserve to go to prison.

Supporters included Coral Springs Mayor Walter G. “Skip” Campbell, who urged Bailey to show mercy to the convicted doctor. “You’ve got to look at that person and the community,” he said. “And you’ve got to ask yourself, I believe, is that person going to be someone who is going out and do this again.”

Really? Lol you’ve GOT to ask yourself if this person would do this again? 😀😀really??

I honestly don’t think I’d have to ask myself that. I’ve never heard of accidental Oral sex.

The judge did not hear directly from the victim, who was 19 when she called Ciocon to her home to remove a vaginal cyst on August 3, 2014. The woman testified during the trial that Ciocon was a family friend who had provided medical help for her relatives in the past.

The doctor didn’t testify either.

His defense?

Ciocon’s defense team said he thought his patient became sexually aroused when he was examining her and he misread her body language.

Bailey said he had received dozens of letters from Ciocon’s supporters, many expressing disbelief that he could be guilty. He said all but a few of those letters troubled him because they did not respect the judicial process or the jury’s verdict.

While the judge said he was not showing the level of leniency requested by the defense, his sentence was the lowest allowable according to sentencing guidelines, and supporters were smiling outside the courtroom afterward.

“The family is ecstatic that Dr. Ciocon will be coming home very soon,” said Bieber. “It is our position that Dr. Ciocon never committed a crime under Florida law. We do believe he will be vindicated in the end.”

During the trial, the defense argued that Ciocon believed his interaction with the woman was consensual.

Oflazian said it was not, adding that the jury had already concluded that the doctor acted without the victim’s consent.

If Ciocon loses his appeal, the time he spends under house arrest will not count as time served. He will get credit for the two months he has been in jail since his conviction. His prison term will be followed by five years of probation as a sex offender.

People are really shallow when it comes to Titles. I was at the store today and this woman was arguing with a cashier. She was calling her rude and telling the other guests that she didn’t deserve to have a job at the store. Mind you, Every time I see this cashier, she’s kind to me. She’s a sweet girl and does her job. The customer was loud and obnoxious and began to try and prove her point by yelling, “I’M A NURSE, THAT’S RIGHT, I’M A NURSE AND I KNOW HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE” She lost Me there. What does being a nurse have to do with your personality? If you’re an ass, no matter what your profession is, you’ll still be an ass.

Look at all the character witnesses that this doctor has. He Probably Made house calls to a bunch of older horny ass women and he provided extra service. What a pervert.

On the other side?

Why was no one present in the room other than the girl and the doctor? The mother and grandmother were home. So…????
