Graphic Video of Cleveland Ohio shooting death of Robert Godwin Sr, by Steve Stephens

Steve Stephens is cold blooded right now. This video is… Wow! Like really dude. He’s right when he said he’s FAR GONE.

AS A blogger I had to decide whether to post it or not. If this was my family, would I want people to see this? Hell no. I wouldn’t want to see my father die like this. It’s terrible guys. Like really really bad.

That’s why I’m choosing to show it. You can’t clean this up. I’m just waiting to see if he really did kill others as he claimed. Why haven’t we heard anything else about other murders? It’s been hours. Surely they wouldn’t hide this from the public would they? This guy is giving specific details. From the Time video was posted until now, where could he be? All surrounding states are being told to look out for him.

I’ve written about other killers.  But none so cold as to make a video of his homicide. That’s a whole other level. Do you know what it takes to shoot someone face to face? To look at them, to see their facial expressions. To watch them squirm and flinch. And then to know that you have all power. Even “God” can’t stop it. God can’t stop him and he knows it. This is exactly where he wants to be. He’ll end things on his own terms.

We are animals. I think humanity died a long time ago. Every one can be driven to that place. Just some of us have greater support systems, greater self control, a reason to ACTUALLY live. But if you take that away, you’re just left with a shell of a being. That’s the destination that we all try to avoid.

None of us wants to feel useless and to be tossed aside like garbage.

Steve has already apologized to a degree. But I don’t think he’s sorry for what he did. He’s more upset about his image and what people will think of him. His personality contradicts itself. On one hand he says he’s a monster, and on the other hand, he’s the good guy who always helps, but he can’t find help when he needs it.

This video is possibly the real man. This video probably is what he always was. Sometimes we think about ” Snapping” and the bad guy allegedly was lurking in the shadows. Perhaps the ” Nice Guy” was the fraud and he didn’t SNAP, the mask just came off.
Update Steve Stephens is dead. He killed himself.  Story on the front page of my blog

In the shocking video, which was recorded and then uploaded to the page, not streamed live, Stephens can be seen driving down the road and he says, “Found me somebody I’m going to kill, this guy right here, this old dude,” before exiting his vehicle. He walks up to the man and begins talking to him, asking how old he is before pulling out a gun.

The man tries to shield himself before Stephens fires once, hitting the man in the head.

The video shows the man on the ground, bleeding as Stephens walks back to his car and drives off.

The shooting happened at 635 East 93rd Street, police said.

There are 2 other blogs on this story with more in-depth information. As to WHY, he claims he did it.

I’m saying DID IT because “doing it” would imply that there’s more. But until I see evidence of more killings, it’s not fair to say HE KILLED 15 PEOPLE!  Folks are saying Robert Godwin was number 14. I’ve seen no evidence of that.
Update

He’s still on the run.  There are NO other victims confirmed as of yet. Many false reports are saying that he’s in a certain location.  LE is stating that this information is false.

Also it is being reported that several GOFUNDME campaigns have been started to help the family of the victim. These are ALL SCAMS!  THE family has not opened or started any campaigns for financial assistance. However, GOFUNDME will intervene and insure that these criminals don’t make off with your hard earned dollars.

It’s a Shame that people do this.

Verify: False information circulating in Steve Stephens manhunt

CLEVELAND — Your Facebook news feed has likely been flooded with posts on the manhunt for Steve Stephens.

He’s the wanted man accused of killing a stranger on Easter and uploading video of the murder on Facebook.

Some posts you may have encountered declare Stephens was on his way to Akron. Others say he was spotted in Painesville or Lorain, among other places throughout the region.

We’ve talked to police, and have confirmed these details are false.

To urge the importance of only following accurate updates, Cleveland police issued a warning on Twitter late Sunday stating “misinformation in emergencies is dangerous.”

WKYC spent the morning streaming facts of the case on Facebook, which resulted in a slew of comments with misleading information.

VERIFY: Where is Stephens?

A recurring post Facebook is that his cell phone pinged in Erie, Pa.

Early Monday morning, police in the city of Erie — and the state police — both said this was unconfirmed information. Shortly before noon, however, a federal law enforcement official told WKYC that Stephens’ phone did ping in the Erie area.

That being said, his current whereabouts remain unknown. While he could still be in Ohio, authorities have put neighboring states on alert to keep watch for Stephens.

“As far as we know, right now, we don’t know where he’s at,” Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said. “The last location we actually had him was at the homicide at 93rd Street just north of St. Clair. Anything else right now is kind of speculation. Again, we have investigations going all over this country trying to pinpoint his actual location.”

VERIFY: The number of victims

There are also questions swirling about the number of victims involved. Although Stephens claimed to have killed more people, Cleveland police say there is only one victim confirmed. That man has been identified as 74-year-old Robert Godwin, Sr.

As of Monday morning, there are no additional victims.

VERIFY: The Facebook video

Although authorities initially said Stephens streamed video of the murder live on Facebook, that is not true. A spokesperson with Facebook confirms to WKYC that while Stephens had posted a Facebook live video at some point Sunday, the murder itself was not live.

VERIFY: GoFundMe accounts

There are dozens of GoFundMe pages established to raise money for the victim’s family.

Cleveland police said during a news conference early Monday that these GoFundMe accounts are scams.

The family has not set up any charitable opportunity as of yet, so authorities said please do not donate any money to GoFundMe until further notice.

However, GoFundMe officials told WKYC Monday morning that they have spoken with both the organizer behind this campaign and members of the victim’s family.

“We’ll guarantee the money will be deposited directly into the family’s bank account,” a representative from the company told WKYC via email.

While there may be multiple GoFundMe pages already established, the company’s directing people only to the page linked above.

“Regardless, all funds raised for the Godwin’s will be transferred directly to the family,” the representative continued. “It’s important to remember that our platform is backed by the GoFundMe Guarantee, which means funds are guaranteed to go to the right place.”
