Lol ok now I’m just being ridiculous in my titles.

But seriously though. I’m American ok? I can’t help but be American. I didn’t ask for it. I didn’t come here on my own. I’m here because my ancestors were slaves and I’ve been too fucking lazy and broke to move. Sounds familiar?

There are times I LOVE AMERICA! I’m like, go go team Murica. When President Obama said, God bless America, I was like YEAH!!!! YEAH!!!!

NOW I’m like ugh…. America again. I find myself explaining things to my kids now like, guys that’s the way things are in America. I got one teenager who wants to live abroad who hates this country. She’s a non conformist, and one who is ok with staying. She wants to be rich. Lol go figure!

My one wants to live in Japan. She’s studying the language. She’s not religious at all, matter of fact hated when I was a Christian. She’s ALWAYS BEEN ATHEIST. MOMMY just didn’t know it. I thought them scriptures were seeping in.

I’ve always taught my kids to say the pledge. Why? Well I was taught to say it. It was ALMOST unheard of when I was a kid not to stand.

But fast forward to 2016, you don’t have to stand anymore. Do I think it’s a sign of disrespect? Sometimes yes. Sometimes not. I mean it’s kind of a big deal, but then again, it’s not for some. I don’t mind standing for the pledge. But I’m Atheist. So I  don’t recite the UNDER GOD part. It’s like a violation of my rights.

It’s hard to have patriotism towards America when they don’t refect what the liberties stand for.

It’s like saying, ” BE YOURSELF, BUT NOT LIKE THAT” But also the part where it says Liberty and justice for all. Really? Justice For all? Yeah nice try. And I’m not talking about injustices in the black community or white cops. Just the entire thing. The whole fucking justice system is corrupt. The whole thing is just an ugly mess.

When people ask me where I’m from I just say MARS. Im kinda ashamed of us right now.

And we can be so much better. But nobody really wants you to be you. They really want you to be what they want.

Why do you think we have to have so many commercials telling us to be real and to be authentic and to be genuine? Because they already know, that children grow up in this country and they are taught to be what everybody else wants them to be.

How many times have you corrected somebody on their behavior? I’m not talking about them being rude or mean or disrespectful. I’m talking about them being loud or trying to be funny or what they were wearing. Even just having fun in America is frowned upon.  What about correcting someone for drinking at 8 o’clock in the morning? What about judging a woman who wears revealing clothes?

All of those things add up to control and manipulation. When you find yourself not being able to live your life because you’re constantly trying to dictate and tell someone else how to live their life, you have a problem. We are all guilty of it. I can’t stand cigarette smoke and it pisses me off when I see people smoking in front of stores and in front of restaurants. I don’t care that you smoke but could you please keep your second hand smoke away from me? That same person will look at me and say why does she dress like that?

Why does she wear so much black? Why does she wear so many bandanas? Because that’s me bitch. See I don’t think what I’m wearing should bother you. But your second hand smoke bothers the shit out of me. Did you see how that works? They don’t think they have a problem and neither do I.

That’s how it is with the pledge thing. Some people see America as the best fucking country in the world. Others have not had that same experience. And this is not just about a black thing and a white thing and a Native American thing. Some people feel like the judicial system Robbed them. Someone was raped and their rapist got off. Someone’s Child was murdered but their murderer cut a deal and won’t serve any time.

So it’s so easy to attack someone because they don’t want to stand for the pledge. But your experience and their experience with this country are completely different.

What we need is tolerance. Will it ever happen? Not really. Because everyone is a hypocrite to some degree? They don’t intend for it to be that way, but it is.

Some are bigger hypocrites than others. My thoughts are what you see below. Standing for the NATIONAL anthem could be seen as offensive but if you followed this meme, we could be so much better.
