Mass shooting happened at a club in Fort Myers called Club Blu. It took place after the club was closing. Kids were in the parking lot when shots rang out. They were being picked up by their parents when shots were fired. They were ambushed. The club had security and all measures were taken to try and secure the children’s safety.

Let’s see, is it because they were gay? Well many would have you to believe that that’s the reason for the Pulse night club shooting, but it’s not. How easily we are swayed by the media. I rely on the media as well for my blogs, but I form my own opinions when I write. That’s what makes my blogs interesting. Usually I’m not saying what everyone else is. The majority if not all of the victims were of Haitian decent.

Children at the party did not cause this shooting. They were merely victims. As we know it 2 were killed and over 20 injured. 2 is enough I’d say. We don’t need 50 dead for this to be considered a tragedy. 3 suspects are detained as of recent.

I have always believed that the Pulse shooting was a terrorist attack. I didn’t fall for the He was gay and hated gays. That’s too easy and it was scripted by his father. Omar Mateen may have been bisexual but he was also a terrorist. Don’t forget that. How many of these Oops We killed more  will we see until we finally realize that we have terrorist in our country? There were at least 30 shots fired and 3 separate incidents ALL related to the club shooting. Unnamed witnesses state that it appeared to be multiple shooters.

We don’t know yet who is behind this but as soon as I find out, I’ll update the story .

It is being reported by LAW ENFORCEMENT that it’s NOT AN ACT OF TERROR.

The shooting on Monday outside a party for teenagers at a Florida nightclub, where a 14-year-old and 18-year-old died and as many as 17 other people were wounded, was not an act of terror, the Fort Myers Police Department said in a statement.

The latest burst of gun violence to wrack the state this summer took place just after 12:30 a.m. EDT in the parking lot of Club Blu, where officers found “several victims suffering from gunshot wounds,” the city police department said in a statement.

Police identified the two dead as Stef’An Strawder, an 18-year-old basketball star at a local high school, and Sean Archilles, 14.

“Investigators are working very hard to determine a motive,” police said. “The Fort Myers Police Department would like to confirm that this incident is not an act of terror (as it has been referred) or terrorism.”

Besides the two fatalities, a local hospital said there were 17 other victims, ranging between ages 12 and 27. Police put the number of wounded at 14 to 16, with their injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening.

Police said three people had been detained for questioning and that the area was deemed safe, although roads in the vicinity remained closed.

The shooting came six weeks after a massacre at a nightclub in the Florida city of Orlando, where a lone gunman who sympathized with Islamist extremist groups killed 49 people in the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

Club Blu, located about 150 miles southwest of Orlando in the Gulf Coast city of Fort Myers, was hosting a “swimsuit glow party” for people all ages, according to a flyer posted on Twitter by local television station WINK. To enter, patrons were not required to show proof that they were the legal age to drink alcoholic beverages.

The nightclub said on its Facebook page that the shooting occurred when the venue was closing and parents were picking up their children.

“We tried to give the teens what we thought was a safe place to have a good time,” the statement said, pointing out that armed security guards were posted inside and outside the club. “It was not kids at the party that did this despicable act.”

Cheryl Garn, a spokeswoman for Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, said victims arriving there were as young as 12 years old. One of them died at the hospital, she said in a statement, while three others were admitted, one of them in critical condition and one in serious condition. The second victim died at the scene of the shooting.

Police said shots were also fired at a nearby residence, where there was one minor injury.

Fort Myers police and the Lee County’s Sheriff’s Office were canvassing the area for other people who may have been involved, the statement said.

SteFan Strawder lost his life during a night of fun. He was a star athlete at his school. He had a promising future .
What was a 12 year old doing there, and why was it set up with NO ID? I DON’T understand why they refused to card anyone. Haitian culture is different from American culture. They don’t have the same moral code that we have. Certain things they may see as permissible, a lot of Americans would shy away from.
A security officer said she’s used to securing the club for adults but didn’t know that they held events for kids. Were the parents negligent? If you allow your 12 year old to attend a party at a club which ends at 12, should you be held accountable?
Marshall Bland, the father of a shooting victim said his son was also a guest at the club and had a minor injury. He is 23. Why was a 23 year old at a party for teens? This party should never have happened. This party was wrong on all accounts.
