Is this another case of Domestic Violence? The story is reported saying that Drugs may have played a role in the twos quarrel, however, it’s just speculation as of now. It should be considered a tragedy for a woman to be gunned down like next weeks dinner. Multiple Gunshot wounds killed Jessica and it looks like they are looking for a self defense claim. It is too premature to discuss that, so why are they bringing this up? What is the point of trying to avoid an arrest or formal charging? What’s not being said in this case?
What are some circumstances in which a victim is shot to death, and the killer walks the streets right afterwards? Were there no other charges to stick him with that would keep him behind bars?
Was he lawfully carrying a gun?
This blog checked to see her arrests records and it doesn’t appear that she is a convicted felon. She was arrested 6 times. From the age of 18 on up to her demise. Her last arrest was on March 3, 2011 and that charge was from a Parking/Driving violation. The other charges are either unknown, or for failure to appear. Nothing drug related. Where did the news get the information that this was drug related? We might add, none of her arrests included anything violent of any nature.

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Seminole County deputies took a man into custody and then released him, after they say he fatally shot a 23-year-old woman Saturday night in Geneva.
Deputies responded to a call around 8:30 pm that a woman had been shot, in a neighborhood off Bee Lane and Osceola Road in Geneva. Officials say once on scene they found 23-year-old Jessica Oglesby deceased from several gunshot wounds.
SWAT teams were called in to secure the neighborhood after learning the gunman was possibly still in the area.
“We heard several shots going off, but that’s quite unusual around here. Next thing I know we heard over the loud speaker a police officer said ‘Come out with your hands up,'” said resident Brian Clemens.
Officials say deputies were able to get the gunman on the phone, and he surrendered without incident.
The shooter has been identified 24-year-old Timothy Priest. Priest was taken into custody, questioned, and released.
Eyewitness News is working to find out why Priest won’t be held in police custody. A spokesperson for the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office told WFTV there are some conflicting stories and witness accounts. He told Eyewitness News they are awaiting autopsy results and reviewing evidence from the scene in order to determine exactly what happened.
Officials would not comment when asked if they are looking into the possibility of the shooting being self-defense or some other circumstance that would not warrant an arrest.
An initial investigation revealed the two knew each other and there may have been drugs involved.
Also, over time there is much speculation at to why he showed up with a gun. But one thing that no one has mentioned. Who brings a can of mace to a gun fight? She would have known that he owned a gun without a doubt. If she were there to rob him, she wasn’t very good at it.
If she were such a hardened criminal, why was she only carrying mace? If she were heavily into the drug lifestyle or possibly selling drugs, she would have been carrying a gun as well. It’s not unthinkable for a convicted felon to have a gun. In some cases, the ones who shouldn’t have them, it’s easier for them to obtain.
